Capt. Bryan Goulart started fishing with his father in Rhode Island when he was 4 years old and has been hooked ever since. While living in New York City, and missing fishing from the rocks in Newport, He bought a boat and started plying the waters around New York City. He fished from the Hudson River to Montauk Point, targeting striped bass, bluefish and false albacore by fly. Slowly, Goulart's passion became his career, and he started a full-time guiding business.
Bryan fishes particularly around Jamaica Bay in the early Spring, from April through June, sight fishes the flats of East Hampton May through August as well as offshore, Montauk September through October and back in Jamaica Bay for November through December. As a guide, Goulart takes pleasure in showing clients the fisheries around New York City and the eastern end of Long Island. Check Bryan out casting a line in Jamaica Bay, Brooklyn with ABC 7 Eyewitness News and Lauren Glassberg. When he is not guiding, Goulart is a photographer and works for all sorts of magazines and fashion catalogs.
